Dynasty and until the 20th century. dynasty, after leaving the Memphis Area. Here you can access the tombs and discover the colorful paintings and stories written with hieroglyphics on the Walls.

Then we drive to Queen Hatshepsuts mortuary Temple. She was one of the most fascinating rulers of ancient Egypt, a female pharaoh who proved her ability to reign successfully over an empire, and finally she also created an architecturally extraordinary mortuary temple for herself, with three terraces separated by colonnades, a hypostylhal and many statues, paintings and reliefs. Here you can see the reliefs of the transport of the obelisks to Karnak, as well as the birth of queen Hatshepsut. Reliefs on the south side of the Middle Terrace show the Queen expedition to the land of Punt, which was known for their incense.

Before we drive back to our ship we do stay at the 3400 year old Memnon behemoths, the huge statues of Amenhotep III, which once stood guard in front of his, now non existent, valley temple, which was once greater than the Karnak Temple. Discover here the beautiful Sacrificial chamber and admire the many beautiful and elaborate reliefs on the walls. When we finish the temple we run back to our cruise ship and continue our sailing trip towards Kom Ombo.

In the afternoon we will be anchoring in Kom Ombo, and together we go in and visit Egypt’s only double temple dedicated to the crocodile God Sobek, and the falcon god Horus. The architectural masterpiece offers double, perfectly symmetrical elements with twin entrances, courtyards, pillars and shrines, which are probably the expression of a kind of double priesthood. The temple stands on a promontory at a curvature in the nile, where the sacred crocodiles in ancient times lay and baked in the sun on the banks of the nile, and you can therefore see a small museum with crocodile Mummies.

When the trip is finished, we go further towards Aswan while we enjoy our last dinner on Board.
