Super Safari from Sharm El Sheikh in Detail:

We will pick you up for the Super Safari from Sharm El Sheikh directly from your hotel door in the morning, where our tour guide is going to carry a sign with your name on, in his hand. We will now drive to the foothills of Mount sinai, also called Jebel Musa or Moses, where, according to the bible, it is said that Moses received the 10 Commandments from God carved on the stone tables.

After the sunrise we will wander down towards St. Katharina’s Monastery and make your stay for breakfast before visiting the Monastery. The monastery lies at the foot of Moses’s mountain, in the place where Moses Said he had seen the burning Bush. The first signs of monastic life in this place are supposed to have taken place already in the 4th. Century e.Kr, making the monastery one of the oldest in the World. Empress Helena, mother of Constantine i, ordered in the early 4. The 19th century e.Kr that a chapel should be built in the place where the burning shrub is reportedly standing. The monastery in its present form was built by Emperor Justinian i, in the 6th century. Century e.Kr, with strong fortifications, to protect the monks. This place is considered sacred to both jews, Christians and muslims, and during Fati mite a mosque was built here, as Muslims protected the monastery, the church and the monks from the Bedouin.

Here you can see the buildings, the walls and the decorations in their almost original form, as well as countless valuable items that have survived until today, and have proved to be an extraordinary treasure for modern scientists, throughout History. The library includes the second largest collection of ancient manuscripts and manuscripts in the world-only surpassed by the library of the Vatican!

The monastery still houses Orthodox monks and is one of the oldest functioning monasteries in the world according to unesco, which also set it on the UNESCO World Heritage List from 2002.

NOTE! Before you can enter the monastery, you must cover your legs, arms and your Head.

Now we will drive further north, to the Coloured Canyon near the small tourist village of Nuweiba. We will wander through the gorge and look at the exceptionally beautiful rock formations. Here you can not only find various shapes, but also a multitude of different colors, which has given the gap its Name. Enjoy this unique landscape on your trip and remember to have the camera ready!

We end our hike at the Bedouins in their camp. Then we drive to the Aqaba Bay where we eat lunch at a local restaurant. This is a rich opportunity to taste seafood. After lunch, it will be time to relax on the beach or admire the beautiful coral reefs.
